Mat Pilates combines movement with breath to build strength throughout the entire body, particulaly within the core muscles (stomach, back & pelvic floor).

Pilates can help to improve coordination, balance, flexibility, strength & body awareness. It works to tone, strengthen, lengthen & stretch the body, all while building a deeper mind-body connection.

Barre Pilates is performed using a barre and so mostly standing postures. As in mat Pilates we combine movement with breath to build strength throughout the entire body.

A typical 60 minute class will be formed of 30 minutes of standing exercises, followed by 15 minutes of mat core work, a 10 minute stretch & 5 minute relaxation.

In Yin Yoga we hold the poses for around 3-5 minutes in order to target our joints and connective tissue (fascia). This allows for a deeper stretch from within and for us to work with the energetic meridian lines throughout the body, helping to clear any blocked or stagnated energy.
We also work to move emotion held within our body, enabling us to release and let-go of what no longer serves us.
During the practice we become the observer of our thoughts, sensations & emotions, watching without judgement and allowing ourselves to simply be.

About the event
Moon Circles are a wonderful way to harness the powerful energy of the Moon, there's something very magical about meeting in a circle under the Full Moon.
Each month we meet under the Full Moon to share and hold space with one another. A safe space to release, let go, set intentions and plant seeds for the month ahead.
During the 2 hours spent together we share a Moon Ritual, often journalling or crafting in some way, some organic cocoa, a group meditation and Yin Yoga practice, I also offer individual Reiki to each person joining the circle.
As an Aromatherapist I love to incorporate essential oils into our circle, as well as candles, crystals and oracle cards.
These circles are a wonderful gift of self-love, a great way to connect deeper with yourself and a beautiful way to meet other like-minded people.
During each circle I'll speak of the unique energy of the moon and the planetary alignments at the time, offering deeper insights into the universal energy and how it may resonate within your life.
Each circle includes:
- Moon Ritual
- Meditation
- Yin Yoga
- Reiki
- Organic Cocoa
All circles are held in Room 3, at the Sunflower Centre in Brockley (please note this is on the first floor, with no lift available).
Suitable for all levels and abilities, no experience necessary.
Please dress in comfortable clothing, as you will be participating in a gentle and relaxing Yin Yoga practice.
All equipment will be provided, including mats.
