Mat Pilates combines movement with breath to build strength throughout the entire body, particulaly within the core muscles (stomach, back & pelvic floor).

Pilates can help to improve coordination, balance, flexibility, strength & body awareness. It works to tone, strengthen, lengthen & stretch the body, all while building a deeper mind-body connection.

Barre Pilates is performed using a barre and so mostly standing postures. As in mat Pilates we combine movement with breath to build strength throughout the entire body.

A typical 60 minute class will be formed of 30 minutes of standing exercises, followed by 15 minutes of mat core work, a 10 minute stretch & 5 minute relaxation.

In Yin Yoga we hold the poses for around 3-5 minutes in order to target our joints and connective tissue (fascia). This allows for a deeper stretch from within and for us to work with the energetic meridian lines throughout the body, helping to clear any blocked or stagnated energy.
We also work to move emotion held within our body, enabling us to release and let-go of what no longer serves us.
During the practice we become the observer of our thoughts, sensations & emotions, watching without judgement and allowing ourselves to simply be.

I acknowledge that I am participating in a Pilates, Yoga and/or Meditation class offered by Shine bright Wellbeing and that each class, workshop and event requires physical exertion which may cause physical injury, I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved and agree to follow the instruction, guidance and information given during each class.
If you have a medical condition or health-related question, please ensure you have consulted with your GP before participating in any class, event or workshop. Please consult your GP prior to beginning any exercise program. By agreeing to this liability waiver you confirm that you have consulted with your GP for any medical condition or health-related questions prior to booking a class, event or workshop with Shine Bright Wellbeing.
Shine Bright Wellbeing is not a qualified or trained medical pracitioner and as such classes, workshops and events offered are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. Please consult with a medical professional should you have any doubts to the suitability of the class, workshop or event prior to booking and attending.
I release and discharge and hereby hold harmless Shine Bright Wellbeing from any and all claims, demands, damage and rights or causes of action, present and future, arising our of or connected with my participation in this or any classes, workshops or events including any injuries or medical conditions/problems resulting from them. This waiver and release from liability includes, without limitation, injuries which may occur as a result of my participation in any activity, class, workshop, event or instruction.
With this knowledge, I confirm that I am making a voluntary choice to participate and engage in the class, workshop or event and accept all and any risk associated with my decision to participate. To the best of my knowledge I am in good physical health and condition and have no disease, physical limitation, health concern or injury that would be aggravated or would be the cause of any injury sustained, before, during or as a result of my participating in activities related either directly and/or indirectly to Shine Bright Wellbeing.
By taking a class, workshop or event with Shine Bright Wellbeing either virtually, in person or through their content online, you understand and agree that Shine Bright Wellbeing has no liability to you for any injury or loss you may suffer in connection with a class, workshop or event taken.
